Echangeur22 Artist-in-Residence Mobility Program 2023 Open Call

√K Contemporary is delighted to announce that applications for its partnering non-profit association, Echangeur22’s 2023 artist-in-residence program have opened. In addition, in this 7th volume of their artist residency, the gallery will be involved in the selection of this year’s artists.

Each year, Echangeur22 holds a “Mobility Program”, whereby they invite one artist from France, Japan, Brazil, and South Korea. In this edition, four chosen artists from each country will spend 6 weeks at Echangeur22’s residence located in the south of France from September to October 2023. During this, they will be encouraged to reflect upon their own work in relation to the notion of circulation and mobility in anticipation of Echangeur22’s MOBILITY circulation project, a project in development regarding residencies and itinerant exhibitions held between Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea). At the end of the residency, an exhibition will be held at the historic site La Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, a historic site and one of the monastic complexes of the Popes’ Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
