1992 : Born in France
Following graduation from Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School in 2010, Horie entered Tama Art University to specialize in Nihon-ga painting. In 2011, she received an honorable mention at the 28th Fukui Thumbhole Art Exhibition and was awarded a Citation at the 11th Sato Taisei Prize Art Exhibition in Fukuchiyama. She received a scholarship at the 29th Fukui Thumbhole Art Exhibition in 2012, and graduated from Tama Art University in 2014.
In 2015, Horie was awarded the Gotoh Cultural Award, Fine Arts Division and was nominated for the 6th Kaii Higashiyama Memorial Award for Nikkei Nihonga Grand Prize. With the grant from the Gotoh Cultural Award, Horie spent a year in Paris in 2016.
In 2020, the artist was awarded the 6TH SETAGAYA ART AWARD”HISHOU”.
In March 2021, the artist has a solo exhibition scheduled at the Setagaya Museum as a part of the 6th SETAGAYA ART AWARD “HISHOU” Memorial Exhibitions. In the same spring, she also has two solo exhibitions scheduled at √K Contemporary and Kashima Arts (the 26th Gotoh Memorial Cultural Award Exhibition: An Overseas Training Program Achievement Showcase).
